La gratitud es una herramienta poderosa que se puede cultivar. Cuando nos enfocamos en lo bueno que tenemos interna y externamente y damos las gracias por las pequeñas cosas que la vida nos ofrece, redireccionamos nuestro cerebro hacia una perspectiva más positiva y así, desarrollamos un sentido de estabilidad, bienestar y satisfacción personal.

A pesar de todo los retos y dificultades que este año nos ha traído, podemos aprovechar los días de acción de gracias para cultivar la gratitud. En esta sesión, vamos a enfocar la atención en nuestra vida, apreciar lo positivo en ella y fortalecer nuestra resiliencia.

Angelica Zapata

Angelica is a facilitator for CCFW’s professional and parent well-being training programs and oversees program development and delivery in Spanish. She is a life coach and an educator, certified in Early Childhood Development. She is also certified by Life University to facilitate Compassion Integrity Training and, more recently, completed her training to facilitate “Listening Mothers” through the Community of Mindful Parenting.

Angelica is a first-generation Latina who enjoys volunteering for the Army Community Service. She has led and promoted programs that support the well-being of the Latinx and military communities. As a former military spouse, she had to learn resiliency and self-regulation skills to navigate the constant changes and struggles of military families. Angelica believes that transcending the pain of life-changing events with mindfulness and self-compassion is the portal to insight, a true opportunity for growth and transformation.
