Bringing Academics and Practitioners Together

Working collaboratively and sharing knowledge is foundational to our work. As part of our mission, we regularly bring together academics and practitioners to discuss pressing issues regarding children’s development and mental health, and the roles that parents, families, educators, and providers play.

Biennial Mindfulness Research Conferences

Every other year, we host a conference to bring together researchers and practitioners whose work promotes the well-being of children and families through mindfulness. The latest research findings and their applications are presented, with rich opportunities for networking and discussion. The focus is on advancing the science of mindfulness to enhance children’s, parents’, caregivers’, educators’ and practitioners’ empathy, compassion, and self-regulation, and supporting caregivers’ stress-management, responsiveness, and consistency in their interactions with children, enhancing children’s well-being.

Review the conference programs and presentations from our 2022, 2017, 2015, and 2013 conferences. Unfortunately, the 2019/20 conference was canceled.

Occasional Temperament Conference

OTC is a biennial international conference that brings together leading temperament researchers for an intimate, focused conference. This meeting was hosted by CCFW in Seattle in 2016. Review the conference program and presentations here.
