Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a scientifically supported program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. to reduce stress and increase well-being. It is thriving worldwide. Attitudes of kindness, acceptance, and patience provide a foundation for the practices of sustained focus, self-regulation, and self-exploration. A greater sense of balance, choice, and freedom is cultivated.

Drop-in Session: Introduction to Mindful Self-Compassion

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) combines the skills of mindfulness and self-compassion to enhance our capacity for emotional wellbeing. MSC cultivates inner strength, self-acceptance, and a wider perspective of common humanity, to promote personal growth and stronger relationships with others. Join us for an hour-long introduction to these practices. We’ll provide an overview of MSC, and guide a couple of MSC practices. No previous mindfulness experience is necessary.

Mindful Self-Compassion

A scientifically-based program that enhances physical and mental well-being, as well as relationships with others. Participants will learn ways to apply awareness and self-kindness in their daily life through experiential exercises, short talks, and interactive group discussions.

Cultivating Curiosity, Connection, and Compassion

Curiosity is a skill we can cultivate to help us overcome the disconnection and division that is so common in our daily lives. In this process, we may experience a better sense of well-being and a deeper connection to our common humanity. In this 3-hour in-person retreat, we will explore our relationship to curiosity, and practice ways to enhance this quality in relationships with others.

Drop-In Session: Cultivating Curiosity

Curiosity is a mindset we can work with to deepen our mindfulness and compassion, for ourselves and others. In this drop-in, learn how we can enhance our curiosity, then participate in a 30-minute guided meditation. This session will end with some time for questions and sharing.
