Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a scientifically supported program to reduce stress and increase well-being.

Throughout this program, you will engage in:

  • Guided mindfulness meditations that foster inner calm and clarity.
  • Gentle stretching and mindful movements to reconnect mind and body.
  • Inquiry exercises designed to heighten awareness in everyday life.
  • Mindful communication and group dialogues for shared insights.
  • Home practices that seamlessly integrate mindfulness into your daily routine.

Research consistently shows that MBSR yields positive results across various challenges, from high-stress environments to sleep disturbances, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain. This course is your gateway to:

  • Activating your inner resources for navigating stress and daily obstacles.
  • Uncovering patterns of thought that impact your well-being.
  • Cultivating compassion and embracing a sense of ease in your life.

Guided by attitudes of kindness, openness, and patience, each week centers around a theme that supports you in applying mindfulness to your unique life circumstances.

Our weekly sessions are an interactive blend of small group discussions, large group activities, and at-home practices, covering:

  • Body scan meditations to heighten awareness of bodily sensations.
  • Mindful yoga for mindful movement and relaxation.
  • Practices to observe both pleasant and challenging experiences.
  • Techniques for observing thoughts and emotions without judgment.
  • Cultivating compassion towards yourself and others.
  • Insights from the latest research on the mind-body response to stress.
  • Strategies for responding to stress, chronic pain, and life’s challenges with mindfulness.
  • Practical applications of mindfulness in your daily life to savor each moment fully.

As a culmination, an All-Day Retreat offers a profound exploration of cultivating presence from moment to moment.

Join us and explore how mindfulness can enrich your life with greater resilience and ease. Before registering, please review this letter to ensure this course aligns with your current life journey.

CCFW aims to promote well-being by making evidence-based mindfulness practices available and accessible to community members, particularly professionals working with children and families. We believe that mindfulness has positive implications for professionals as well as the children and families they interact with. Therefore, we wish to encourage mindfulness training by removing possible financial barriers for professionals working with these specific populations. If these fees are cost-prohibitive for you, we invite you to apply for a scholarship.
