Mindfulness allows us to cultivate a sense of safety within our bodies and minds. For some who have experienced bodily trauma, dissociation, dysphoria, and other experiences where our bodies have felt unsafe, mindfulness can be difficult to integrate into our lives. Join us for a discussion of barriers to mindfulness and adaptations to mindfulness practices that support those of us who have not felt safe in our bodies.
Compassion is a good place to develop roots to support your mindfulness practice and to support taking action in your life that is aligned with your values. We will have time to explore the many aspects of compassion, and how to develop more compassionate roots. and then have time for guided meditation practice. This drop-in session is designed to be useful for those new to mindfulness meditation, as well as those who have been meditating for a while and wish to develop a deeper grounding for your practice.
We must all work to cultivate the connection between our minds and our bodies. When we tend to these gardens, we can find a path back to balance. When we find balance, we can better support ourselves, and in turn those closest to us. This session will include a stress check, a discussion about our core values, and setting intentions.
Join our compassionate community for an hour of mindfulness practice and conversation. This drop-in session is a great opportunity for past participants of CCFW mindfulness courses to reconnect with classmates, continue mindfulness practice, and engage with a compassionate community. All are welcome!
